NEW YEARS EVE PARTY
This year we are holding a New Years Eve party. Tickets are available now £15 member & £16 non- member, which includes a buffet. It starts at 8pm until 1am. It is only available to over 18’s due to restrictions on our bar licence.
3-2-1- LIFESTLE FITNESS SUITE PROMOTION
Following the success of this promotion last year we are continuing with this again in 2008/09. This promotion offers new and existing members not only the opportunity to receive 15 months for the price of 12 with every annual payment in December but also 14 months for 12 in January 09 and 13 months for 12 in February 09.
BALLROOM/LATIN PRACTICE NIGHT
We are holding a Ballroom/Latin practice night on the second Saturday of each month at the Centre. The next one will be held on 15th November 2008 from 8.00 to 11.00pm. Everyone is welcome whatever your standard. The cost is £4 for Members and £5 for Non Members.
BEGINNERS ONLY LADIES DANCE CLASS (OVER 30’S)
This new class started on Monday 13th October from 7.15-8.15pm.
Learn easy routines danced to modern music. This is a great way to keep fit and meet new friends. Just come along and give it a try.

 THE
LOCARNO BAND
The fabulous Locarno Band will be performing at Danbury Sports & Social Centre on Saturday 29th November 2008.
The Locarno Band is a 17- piece dance orchestra. It is composed of 6 saxophones, four trumpets, two trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums and one lovely vocalist.
They play just about any type of swing music, jazz, romantic ballad and some Latin.
Unlike most big bands, this is not a pick up band, but a polished, experienced group of handpicked musicians who have played together for some time. The musicians, the arrangements are first rate. Its Big Band music at it’s best!
Their leader is Ian Steele, who is also the founder/owner of the American Stage Band Music Service and the band portrays a neat, professional appearance from attractive music stands with logo in uniform dress. The repertoire is mainly based on the big band style of the 1940’s and 1950’s including jive, ballroom, Latin, rock & roll and old time. Also, because of their special musical arrangements the band is capable of producing quiet, lush music as well as thundering, exciting music. We are only loud when we are supposed to be.
Tickets are £10 for Members and £12 for Non Members and they are available from reception now.

with Colchester United FC), mini tennis, basketball, badminton, gymnastics

NEW
CHILDRENS COURSE (NOVEMBER) - TINY TEES GOLF
These fun sessions start on Friday 7th November from 4.00-4.30 & 4.30-5.00pm for children aged 3-6yrs old. They involve teaching the children the basic concept of golf, teaching them long shots, chipping, putting & having fun in a safe environment. All equipment has been specially designed for young children. Targets and velcro balls will be used.
FARMERS
MARKET AND CRAFT FAIR
Our next Farmers/Craft Markets are on Saturday 6th December 2008 and Saturday 7th February 2009, there is no Farmers Market in January.
Come and take a look for yourself and support our local suppliers of fresh, quality produce in the Sports Hall.
EXERCISE AND DANCE CLASS
This is a low impact class, which focuses on balance, agility, co-ordination, rhythmic ability, plus improves stamina, strength and suppleness.
Young or young at heart, male or female, this is an excellent way to have safe fun, effective exercise and make new friends with our fully qualified Keep Fit Instructor Judy Cowell. This class is on a Wednesday from 2-3pm.
